Based on the composer’s own description, Sonata for violin solo (2008) is about the violinist himself, presenting the instrumentalist’s physical and spiritual portrait. The sounds to be played abstract and convey the behavior of the violinist, the physiology of playing the violin – a specific way of being a musician. The piece's rich, kaleidoscope-like musical material is a real reward for all violinists, and it is dedicated to the composer's excellent violinist brother, János Selmeczi.
